It’s Official…. Katy Perry and Russell Brand Are Divorced

Almost two years after Katy Perry and Russell Brand tied the knot in India, the ex-couple are now divorced. Brand filed for divorce from the pop star in December, and it was finalized on Monday (July 16).

According to E! News although Perry and Brand reached their divorce agreement back in February, by California law, they had to wait six months for the union to be officially dissolved. Brand's filing, which cited irreconcilable differences, came just 14 months after their lavish ceremony in front of family and friends. The exes famously hooked up after flirting at the 2009 MTV VMAs.
